The Mammoth High School Cross Country ski team finished its season with top awards at the California Nevada Interscholastic Ski and Snowboard Federation Championships at Auburn Ski Club on Feb. 18.
As one of Yosemite Conservancy’s Outdoor Adventures in 2012, visitors to Yosemite National Park this summer can take a step back in time by retracing Muir’s steps with his great-great-grandson Robert Hanna and Muir actor Frank Helling.

The North American finals for the Nike Chosen Tour went down Saturday and into the night at Mammoth Mountain. During the daytime jump session, Mammoth local, Jeremy Page won best trick with a frontside double cork 1080. Come night time, Michael Gray won best trick with a 270 onto the closeout rail, 450 out, and Melissa Evans took first in the ladies division. The night time rail session top honors went to Mammoth local Jaeger Bailey. Bailey will now be headed to Austria to take on the rest of the world. Photo/Jesse Barlet

The Mammoth Classic school races and the Alan Bard Classic Race took at the Tamarack XC Center last weekend and drew hundreds of athletes.

Among the more innovative amenities that Mammoth offered to athletes last summer was the “High Altitude Training Crib.”
It offered endurance athletes a chance to come up to Mammoth and train for whatever sport they were into.
