What: The Mono County Board of Education invites the public to review the “Reopener Proposals” by the Mono County Office of Education Teachers’ Association/CTA/NEA and the Devil’s Gate Chapter #547 of the California School Employees’ Association/CSEA. The public is also invited to provide input on this matter at any time, or at the public meeting on Thursday, March 22, 2012, 9 a.m. at Urban Corps of San Diego County’s Charter School, 3127 Jefferson Street, San Diego, 92110.

Wildlife Migration Corridor Field Trip
What: Join the Eastern Sierra Land Trust for a late afternoon exploring an important section of a local wildlife migration corridor that provides critical passage for the Round Valley mule deer herd and other wildlife. Mono County Wildlife Biologist, Timothy Taylor from the California Department of Fish & Game, will share facts and stories about the wildlife that use the migration corridor.

Tablelands Exploration with Friends of the Inyo
What: Join Friends of the Inyo for a Tablelands exploration north of Bishop. Fantastic volcanic land forms, hidden labyrinthine canyons, early spring flowers and more. Bring clothes of any weather condition, food and water for the day. 3-mile round trip. Well-behaved dogs welcome.
Where: Meet at 819 North Barlow Lane, Bishop, or at the intersection of Chalkbluff and Five Bridges Road.
