Mammoth-Yosemite Airport will get air service to and from Denver next winter.

While not yet etched in stone, it’s as close to a done deal as possible without having it actually done.

It’s a once-a-week (Saturday-to-Saturday) round trip, geared entirely to mid-week visitors and ski clubs, etc.

The service will be run by United, according to Town Manager Dan Holler. The flights will go into the United reservation system on June 28, he said.

Meanwhile, Mammoth Lakes Tourism is THISCLOSE to locking up an Alaska/Horizon flight from Las Vegas, twice or three times a week during the winter.
