Mammoth Track on track

If things go just exactly right and the weather cooperates in September, the new Mammoth Track near the Whitmore ballfields will have an infield and a polyurethane track surface by the end of the warm months.

Town engineer Peter Bernasconi told the Town Council Wednesday that air and ground temperatures have to be at least 50 degrees for the track surface to stick.

That said, the council approved the distribution of bids for the project.
