RAW: Big art show next week, 60 artists to display their work

June 26, 2012

Mono Council for the Arts presents its 35th Annual Mammoth Celebrates the Arts Fine Arts and Contemporary Crafts Festival in the parking lot of Footloose Sports July 4-7 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday.

There will be 60 artists at the show displaying their beautiful artwork. The look of the show will be different this year as there are a lot of new faces and as well as some of our local artists. There will be photographers, jewelers, painters, metal workers, wood artists, pottery, kaleidoscopes, stained glass, handcrafted soaps, tapestry bags, baskets and gorgeous rugs.

Have a Mammoth Brewing Company beer or a bloody mary as you watch the parade go by and enjoy the selection of artwork. There are also fun food tasting booths offering homemade pastas, flavored olive oils and vinegars, mustards, lavender jams and other lavender products. Take home some kettle korn or have a Cocos Locos taco for lunch. Bring the kids and have their faces painted!

This festival is a fund raiser for the arts council who brings to Mammoth FREE Kids Summer Art Camps.
