RAW: Suddenlink says Mammoth customers will have faster broadband service as of Tuesday, Aug. 27

August 27, 2013

Suddenlink today increased speeds for its most popular residential Internet services in Mammoth Lakes, with no added charge, and also introduced a new 30-Megabit per second (Mbps) speed option, according to an Aug. 27 news release.

The company also announced that installation appointment times are now available for new Suddenlink high-speed Internet customers, as well as existing customers.

"Suddenlink services with download speeds of 1.5 and 3.0 Mbps have been increased to up to 15 Mbps and renamed Suddenlink High-Speed Internet 15.0. Current Suddenlink customers will receive the new speed automatically. A 3.0 Mbps service will continue to be available for customers who want that option.

"Suddenlink also has begun offering its new High-Speed Internet 30.0 service in Mammoth Lakes, featuring a download speed up to 30 Mbps, the fastest residential Internet service in the community.

"Beginning today, Suddenlink also has extended its store hours at 123 Commerce Drive, Suite B6, from 9 a.m. through 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday. To further serve customers, on Saturday, Aug. 31, Suddenlink customer care representatives will be available at a booth set up at the Rite Aid Pharmacy parking lot at 26 Old Mammoth Road in The Gateway Center.

"All Suddenlink High-Speed Internet services include up to 10 e-mail addresses, access to e-mail via WebMail, personal WebSpace and Spam Blocker. All Internet customers receive ESPN3 at no extra charge.

"Suddenlink also offers wireless home networking, called WiFi@Home, with enough power to connect all customer devices to Suddenlink High-Speed Internet. Technical support is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

"Suddenlink also announced that it will upgrade to a new, all-digital TV lineup in Mammoth Lakes later this year. Digital TV features superior picture and sound quality. The transition to the new lineup will begin as early as November. When the transition is completed, customers will have access to many new channels, including up to 100 high-definition (HD) TV channels.

"More information about Suddenlink services is available by going to suddenlink.com and entering an address and zip code; by visiting the company’s Mammoth Lakes store, or by calling toll-free 866-269-4386."
