Shots fired on Highway 127

The Inyo Country Sheriff's Department is seeking help in locating two individuals who allegedly shot at a motorist on U.S. Highway 127, about three miles north of Shoshone early this morning, Thursday, Aug. 20.
According to Sheriff's Public Information Officer Carma Roper, the Inyo County Sheriff’s Office received an emergency call from a man who had been robbed and shot at approximately a half an hour earlier.
According to the victim, he was pulled over on the side of Highway 127 due to a low tire, when a vehicle pulled up next to him and asked if he needed help. After he declined assistance, the suspect pulled a handgun and demanded his money and any other belongings. The victim fled on foot while several shots were fired at him. When he returned to his vehicle all items of value had been stolen, including a camouflage backpack filled with a large quantity of cash that he had recently won at a Nevada casino, as well as a handgun.
The victim describes the vehicle as a black Toyota single cab truck. It is believed that the vehicle’s plates include the last three digits: 083. The plate is from an unknown state. The victim reported two suspects; one approached from the driver’s side of the truck, the other approached from the passenger’s side. The victim further described the suspects as Hispanic males with dark hair.
