Town council boosts 'Gateway Project'

February 20, 2012

There’s still a heartbeat in Elizabeth Tenney’s “Gateway Project.”

The Town Council Wednesday kicked it back the Public Arts Commission to reconsider its stalemate vote of 2-2 earlier this year.

Subsequent to that, the town’s Recreation Commission seemed to have put a final nail in the coffin, so to speak, in rejection.

It is now it’s up to the Public Arts Commission, to support Tenney’s “volunteer” effort.

The Public Arts Commission currently sits on $244,558.

The next Public Arts meeting is Thursday from 2 p.m to 4 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers.
