In commemoration of the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin’s birthday, and the publication of his seminal book The Origin of Species, Ken will present a dramatization of the famous Oxford 1860 debate on evolution between Thomas Huxley and Bishop Samuel Wilberforce. Notice of Public Informational Meeting The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) granted KC LLC a Preliminary Permit for priority of development of the P-13089 proposed new hydropower project on the North side of Mono Lake. KC LLC is preparing PowerPoint slides to provide an introduction to the conceptual proposal for improvements to the water diversion from Virginia Creek for conservation and beneficial uses on Conway Ranch that may potentially be achievable concurrent with development of hydropower. Backcountry Skiing the Eastern Sierra Book Signing Mammoth Mountaineering Supply is hosting a Book Release Party for the new book Backcountry Skiing Eastern Sierra that was released in early January. The event will be held at the Main Street location at 6 p.m. and will feature the Sweetwater String Band, as well as some light apps & drinks.
