Council bestows a green light on Snowcreek VIII E-mail
Thursday, 09 July 2009
Town council unanimously approved the Snowcreek VIII Master Plan Update, with a few changes concerning winter egress from the Sherwins, in a special meeting this morning.

Although it is anticipated that the Chadmar development, which proposes a grand resort hotel along the lines of the Bachelor Gulch Hotel in Beaver Creek, Colo., will not be completed for another 10 years, it will eventually help put Mammoth Lakes on the map as the destination resort it aims to be, in accordance with the 2007 General Plan.

There was much discussion among council about phasing in the hotel as a priority, so that the town will benefit from the abundance of proposed amenities as possible. – CB
