Mammoth police continue to investigate a burglary at Shea Schat’s Bakery on Main Street in Mammoth. Lt. Jim Short reports that sometime between 10 p.m. Sunday night and 1:30 a.m. Monday morning, someone broke into the bakery through the back, breaking a window to get in. Two cash registers were taken, as well as more than $1,000 in coins from a locked drawer. Officers report that the two cash registers were later found in the forest behind Alpine Garage. With prints possible on the recovered registers, officers say investigations will continue.
