The Mono County Jail in Bridgeport is now fully operational and all inmates are once again housed there. The county is still pursuing the issue of who will pay for the rehabilitation costs after a contractor’s roof replacement project leaked in October, causing thousands of dollars of damages and incurring the cost of transporting and housing inmates at various jails in several nearby counties. – WG
