Donald served his country in the United States Marine Corps, where he met Mary Angela Kass. They were married in 1948 and spent the next 61 years of their lives together.
Donald entered law enforcement with the Los Angeles Police Department in 1954, retiring as a Sergeant with the Kern County Sheriff’s Department in 1983.
Donald is survived by his loving wife, Mary; their eight children – Donna, Patrick, JoAnn, Colleen, Michael, Rosemary, Kelly and Kitty; their 18 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
A Rosary will be held on Feb. 5, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. with a celebration of life following on Feb. 6, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Bishop, Calif.
