Mono County issues voter registration reminder E-mail
Friday, 11 January 2008
reminder
Attention All Mono County voters! Ensure your active and accurate voter registration status prior to walking into the polls to vote in the upcoming Feb. 5 Presidential Primary Election.
The Mono County Elections Division reminds you to re-register to vote if you have changed your mailing or physical address (even within Mono County) or merely want to update your party affiliation especially as it relates to the upcoming Primary election when party affiliation is so very critical!
If you think that you're registered or just not positive or may have an inactive or canceled status (possibly due to returned mail or otherwise), PLEASE re-register to ensure your ability to vote in the upcoming election. PLEASE NOTE: Registrations completed at your local DMV office typically take 3-6 months to be physically received by the Mono County Elections Office.
Pick up a new registration card at the local post office or call the Elections Division to have a registration card mailed to you. Requests can be made even after hours by leaving a voice mail message with your name, mailing address, and request to have a registration card sent to you by simply calling (760) 932-5537.
All new and updated voter registration cards must be received by the Elections Office by Jan. 22 for your ability to vote on Feb. 5.
Don't miss out on this opportunity to update your registration! Happy New Year! -MCEO/Press Release
