The law requires that arrest information be made available to the public. The following suspects were cited by the Mammoth Lakes Police Department last week. Names of juveniles (under 18) are not public. Suspect information and ongoing investigation details are also withheld. Since most cases have yet to be adjudicated, all charges should be considered allegations. The Mammoth Times prints the information exactly as it is sent by MLPD, no exceptions. According to Mammoth Lakes Police Chief Randy Schienle, the police department provides the name, age and city of residence for suspects arrested for misdemeanors and felonies. Names are not reported publicly on issues involving infractions. Victims' identities are never made public. For questions about what is and is not an infraction, please call the MLPD at (760) 934-2011.
