CEO Dave Harvey and Tony Barrett, Executive Director of Geothermal Education Outreach (GEO), announced Friday afternoon, Aug. 26, that GEO has reached an agreement on a Letter of Intent between Mammoth Pacific Limited Partners (MPLP), a limited partnership between an affiliate of Ormat Nevada, Inc. and Constellation Energy Company with GEO to achieve an agreement to lease 5 acres of land at the MPLP site (the Geothermal Plant located off U.S. 395) for future development of a Geothermal Interpretive Center and Living Laboratory (Center).
"We are extremely pleased with the milestone we have achieved with MPLP with this Letter of Intent and the progress we at GEO have made to further our mission of development of the Center. We are projecting a development date of 2012 and look forward to working with the agencies within Mono County to further the development of the Center,” said Dave Harvey, founder of the Harvey Charitable Foundation and CEO of GEO.
