Bishop Community Concert Association Presents
Bella Sorella will perform at the Bishop Union High School auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Nova and Susanna Jimeniz (sopranos) with Shinobu Kameyama (piano) is an award winning soprano ensemble that combines classical and contemporary styles in melodic and powerful duets. California Native Plant Society annual potluck
The Bristlecone Chapter  of CNPS, will host its annual potluck at White Mountain Research Station in Bishop. Dinner will be followed by a program by Naomi Fraga on her study of Monkeyflowers.The potluck set-up will begin at 6 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m.  Please bring your own table setting and a dish to share. Mammoth Film Festival
Running from Nov. 13 – Nov. 23. The 2008 Mammoth Film Festival will encompass over 8 venues, 60+ films in 4 screening rooms, 3 parties, 2 VIP receptions, and a FilmMaker Expo known as “Basecamp”. Free Homebuyer Education Classes
Mammoth Lakes Housing will be offering free Homebuyer Education classes for anyone interested on the process of purchasing a home from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. The training will discuss the entire purchase process, from shopping for a loan, to working with escrow officers, to understanding loan terms, and how your credit report impacts you in today’s market. Partnering to Preserve Working Lands in the Eastern Sierra
Hosted by the Audubon Society, John McGurke and Karen Ferrell-Ingram of the Eastern Sierra Land Trust will speak about our “working landscapes” managed by rangers and farmers, recent bird sightings and other local natural history news.
