Registration begins at 9 a.m. outside the The Mill at the base of Stump Alley. The entry fee for this event is $20, with all proceeds benefitting Mammoth Lakes’ youth and education activities supported by the Rotary Club.
Each participant will receive a card from a dealer at the top of Lifts 1, 2, 4, 8, 10, 15, and 16 with prizes for the best five-card hand.
The Grand Prize is one pair of men’s or women’s Volkl skis with Marker bindings or a Vice or Prism Board with 5150 Bindings; second prize is a Giro helmet and goggle package; and, the third prize is a pair of Dragon APX goggles.
Mammoth Outdoor Sports is donating all of the prizes.
The Poker Run is part of the Rotary Club’s Winterfest event and is included for all those registered for the evening gala at Canyon Lodge.
At the Winterfest gala, Mammoth Lakes citizens Ken and Flossie Coulter will be named the first Mammoth Lakes Rotary Club “Service Above Self” honorees.
“The ‘Service Above Self’ award is presented to an individual or couple who model the motto through their actions in providing outstanding service to our community.
The award is given to those who have demonstrated “self-sacrifice, compassion for their fellow man, and significant hands-on involvement in one or more endeavors to improve the quality of life of individuals and the community.”
