Moberly gets promotion to MLPD sergeant

Mammoth Lakes Police Chief Dan Watson promoted Officer Rick Moberly on Thursday, Jan. 10, the MLPD said in a press release.

Moberly rose to the rank of Sergeant to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Sergeant Paul Robles in December.  Sergeant Moberly has been assigned as a patrol watch commander.

Moberly is a seven year veteran of the MLPD.  Prior to joining the MLPD, he spent one year with the San Diego Police Department and before becoming a pólice officer, he worked for Cal-Trans for 10 years as an engineer, including time as a supervisor.

Sergeant Moberly was raised in Ventura and Bishop.  He is married with two children.
