We're talking bears and a goat tonight in Crowley Lake

It’s going to be all about bears this evening at the Long Valley Regional Planning Advisory Committee meeting in Crowley Lake.

Mammoth’s wildlife specialist, Steve Searles, will address the committee about halfway through the meeting, which also will feature a discussion about Crowley Lake entrance sign proposals and the Eastern Sierra Interagency Land Tenure Project – a presentation by Wendy Sugimura of the community development department.

Crowley Lake historically has not had a whole lot of problems with bears, but this year, a bear ate a goat (!) in Crowley Lake, and people were concerned about possible bear break-ins.
