Lake Wind Advisory!

Record-breaking wind for the month of June, in excess of 60 mph, pummeled Mammoth (and the Lakes Basin Twin Lakes seen here) all day Sunday and late in to Sunday night, setting water and spray flying, downing trees, triggering rockslides and generally making for a very interesting evening. No major damage was reported and no one was hurt but the windstorm left behind a lot to clean up in the higher elevations of the Eastern Sierra where the storm was focused.
