Finally! After the driest January on record and an almost completely dry February so far, snow arrived in Mammoth on Feb. 22. Although the storm is not expected to drop more than a few inches, forecasters have said the change in the weather this week marks the beginning of a transition to a possibly wetter pattern for California for the next few weeks. With the snowpack total now declining every day, any new precipitation will be welcome.
